January 2024 restock: back with a few more ammonites with unique bead combinations! this time i went with (brown) tiger’s eye, orange coral, freshwater pearls, and labradorite.
January 2022 restock: I thought it would be fun to use some different gems to complement a couple necklaces this time around, H13 has round carnelian instead of freshwater pearls, and H19 has irregular shaped tiger’s eye.
This necklace features a single ammonite fossil, as well as two freshwater pearls, and two different sizes of chain.
These are some of my personal favorites from my ammonite stash I’ve gathered over the years! Most are very unique and have rarer coloration or something like that.

Paleontology buffs will really dig these fossil ammonite pendants. Ammonites were chambered marine molluscs that first appeared during the Devonian period (around 416 to 358 million years ago), and disappeared from the fossil record around 65 million years ago during the Cretaceous period, likely wiped out by the same extinction event that killed off the non-avian dinosaurs. These ammonite fossil pendants are available from the Etsy shop heysomeday in a range of sizes and with varying amounts of visible detail in their chambers, priced at $21.00 and up.
Ammonites vary in size from about 3/4″ to 2″
Smaller chain (from ammonite to pearl) is about 2.5″
Necklace is about 23″
Can be made any length on request
