ammonite fossil necklace

This necklace features a single ammonite fossil, as well as two freshwater pearls, and two different sizes of chain.

I have several different ammonites available, each with its own unique detail. Price is determined by a combination of factors, including size and level of detail/definition of chambers. Only a few larger ammonites like the one in the center of the main photo are available.

Only ammonites that are currently in stock will be listed below and available for purchase. They will be removed from the list as they sell.

Featured in the Live Science 2017 Gift Guide for Geeks:
Paleontology buffs will really dig these fossil ammonite pendants. Ammonites were chambered marine molluscs that first appeared during the Devonian period (around 416 to 358 million years ago), and disappeared from the fossil record around 65 million years ago during the Cretaceous period, likely wiped out by the same extinction event that killed off the non-avian dinosaurs. These ammonite fossil pendants are available from the Etsy shop heysomeday in a range of sizes and with varying amounts of visible detail in their chambers, priced at $21.00 and up.

Ammonite is about 1.25-1.5″
Smaller chain (from ammonite to pearl) is about 2.5″
Necklace is about 23″
